J. ADAM BECKMAN
(303) 708-1300 ext 203abeckman@lacertelaw.com
Prior to joining the firm in 2007, Adam worked for over two years as a prosecutor for the Pueblo County District Attorney’s Office, handling hundreds of criminal cases including felonies, domestic violence, misdemeanors, juvenile cases, DUIs, and traffic cases. With his past experience as a prosecutor and his present experience as a criminal defense attorney, Adam understands the criminal system from both sides of the system.
Adam also specializes in family law. With his extensive courtroom experience, Adam has had outstanding results in contested family law cases. Adam’s extensive experience in criminal law gives him a distinct advantage if any criminal issues arise during the family court proceedings. Given the emotionally charged atmosphere of a divorce or child custody dispute, it is not uncommon for criminal charges to be pressed, including requests for temporary and permanent restraining orders and accusations of domestic violence. If you are experiencing a divorce with pending criminal charges or were served with a restraining order or protection order, you need a lawyer. With Adam, you will have an experienced attorney who can successfully help you navigate through both the criminal and domestic relation courts.
